Comments:

- One of the most beautiful and undiscovered prefecture in Japan - Kouchi, it has long coastline facing Pacific Ocean, along Route 14 is a great running course for all levels runners.

- I started the run at Katsurahama Park, where you will find nice beach, and a statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, a famous historical figure from Kochi.

- you can run along route 14 in a straight line along the seaside for around 9km, but there is no public transport to return to city, so I have decided to run towards the city at 2km point.

This is the view of route 14, a long seaside road, where I have done this run.

Here is where I started the run, the edge of route 14 at the bottom of Katsurahama Park.

Very long beach along the coast run, best to run around seaset.

I saw public toilet along route 14 quite often, so it's good for runners.

The road sign of Kouchi Seaside, good for taking a snapshot with Pacific Ocean at the back.

Turning north into the town side for catching a bus back to city centre.

Running along typical countryside small town, from there I took a bus back to Kouchi Station.

Depends on your running direction, I recommend you to drop by Katsurahama Beach at my start point Katsurahama Park, it's one of the nicest beach in West Japan.

And do not miss the Sakamoto Ryoma Statue as well, he is the most famous person in Kochi!
