Probably the most visited place in Southern part of Okinawa Main Island, Sefa Utaki is considered the most sacred place in Ryukyu history. I had a visit to there before my run.
After getting off from bus on the main road, I walked along this gentle uphill path towards Safa Utaki.
There are some very beautiful seaview café along the side.
Arrived to the main entrance of Sefa Utaki. The admission fee is 300YEN.
It's like entering a sub-tropical jungle, with a lot of plants and interesting rocks.
Here is the main power spot inside Sefa Utaki, called San-Gui, a triangle space left open to the sky.
You feel the sacred atmosphere especially when the sunlight coming in from above.
From Sefa Utaki you can also have a nice view of the sacred island "Kudaka Island" on a clear day.
A kind reminder, there is no ticket sold at Sefa Utaki entrance, you have to get it in Nanjo City Sightseeing Centre opposite the main road where the bus stops.
