Takamatsu Port Night Run

Date: 24 Apr, 2019

Time: 6:30pm

Weather: 18C rain

Distance: 4km / roundtrip

Course type: pedestrian path

Elevation: 18m, mostly flat

Traffic Light: none

Start Point: Takamatsu Port

Access: 3 mins walk from JR Takamatsu Station

- The route is in the city centre of Takamatsu, just a few minutes walk from JR Station, easy access from everywhere in town.

- There is cover along the seaside promenade, so even it's raining, you can still run around the port area.

- You may walk to the nearby Tamamo Park where Takamatsu Castle is located.

This is the starting point of my run, Takamatsu Port, where you can take a ferry to outlying islands in Seto Inland Sea.

This is the seaside promenade where there is cover under the bridge, you may still run under the bridge during rainy days.

Passing by a seaside Western style seafood restaurant called "Mikayla".

Run to the seaside, you see some tiny islands in Seto Inland Sea.

Run towards the red lighthouse at the end of the path.

Looking back at the city on the path to red lighthouse.

Arrived the red lighthouse, the ground is getting wet, so there was beautiful reflection. The cloud covering the island at the back was funny too.

Running back towards the city from the red lighthouse.

The rain was getting heavier so I had to run under the bridge back and forth.

I also run out to the pier as it looks like a nice runway as well.

I could see the light up of Takamatsu Castle from the pier.

Due to the wet floor and the rain, I could only repeatedly run along the pier, so it's just a short 4km run, the nightview at the pier was impressive!
